Hi - can anyone assist me please.
My father, Albert Braithwaite, enlisted in December 1915. He trained at Cocken Hall, Durham and was then transferred to a school in Sunderland for further training - he left Sunderland for France in May 1916.
I thought he said it was 'Lullwell School' but using search engines I can find no mention of this school - however Fullwell School is offered by Google.
Does anyone know if soldiers training to go to France were trained or billeted there?
