My grandfather fought in World War I just after he became a US citizen. All of his records that we should have are long gone. I have the marker on his grave that gives me some information but have no idea exactly what it means.
Can someone help interpret it?
On the top is a cross- at first I thought he might have been a medic, but now wonder if it meant he was catholic, or if all the soldiers had that.
