well, yea'l, come back for the hunt...i have found she was born in ky, but not shown in 1880 census because she was born in dec, the 4th, of 1880. and there is no info for the 1890 census as records were damaged...so, i know her parents moved from ky to wv, but i haven't found when, i do believe her maiden name is blakenship. i am going through family members in the ancestry trees, hoping to find which branch of blakenships...i did go to the blankenship project web site, but i only found the year and county by county, in ky...i did not find family members there. i think i just do not know how to get into the web site to find mary there...i have looked at va,wv,ky,nc,tn, for her marriage...no records for oregon at all.
if you think i should look somewhere else, please let me know, as i can only keep going through family and neighbors to find her actual family. thank you, jane
