Hi Ralph,
Thanks for the info. All I know about my Great Great Uncle Anton Frandsen is that he was born 1883 in Denmark,in 1903, at the age of 20, he immigrated to the US, and enlisted in the Army in 1917. I just recently discovered that he was part ofthe 332nd. I don't remember him, but did meet him when I about 2 years old. He died when I was 8. He lived in Northern California and I lived in Southern California at the time. I have a photo of him w/his wife, my mother and 3 of my siblings and I that was taken when I was 2. We do have a military knife that for all these years we assumed was a German knife that he "confiscated" in battle, but it turns out that it was made in another country (can't remember right now and can't find the paper I had it written on). The sheath that it is in, is US Army issued, and he must have filed the end of the blade down to get it to fit into the sheath. I would really like to know if anyone has an Army photo of him. I don't know where to find one. He and his wife had no children, so I don't know what happened to his military records.
