Hello, just seen your message. My hubbys great uncle (William nelson 2692) also died on 13th Oct alongside Robert Bradshaw. I've only found the same information as you have already got. I have got a piece here about the actuall day they died, not much but it names places.. 12th October, the battalion marched off and that evening formed a line near the La Bassee Canal. "On the 13th a general advance was ordered on Richbourg l'Avoue, the advance was slow as every yard of ground was fought for. The village became a ruin." I have another piece somewhere that states 11 men were killed/missing that day. If they were buried it would have been in a mass grave, so the plaques at Le Touret are just a memorial. If I find anything else I;ll post onto you. Stephanie.
