Do any of these exist for residents of DC? The Washington Post published it's paper with a FULL LIST of NAMES and COUNTRIES of ORIGIN Dec 11, 1917; Page 12, Entitled: "ALIEN ENEMIES WHO ARE TO LEAVE DISTRICT" My grandfather, Philip Bizgia although name is misspelled (as Philip Bizgai ) was listed amongst several hundred others, also listed their OCCUPATION, STREET ADDRESS, as well as ADDRESS.

These Federal Records, if found, will yield records with not only the SAME information on your ancestor that you'd find on any DRAFT REGISTRATION, BUT ALSO....A PHOTOGRAPH, A FINGER PRINT, AND TOWN OF THEIR ORIGINAL NATIVITY, AND MUCH MORE !!!

Am I correct to understand that these FEDERAL RECORDS for "D.C." are Non-Existent? That only (from what I've seen online) San Francisco resident records were 'spared'???

Thank you in advance,

Hi Thanks for the reply. Does this site offer information SPECIFIC to WASHINGTON, D.C. RESIDENTS, as shown on my attached newspaper?

I am interested in this also. I just received a copy of the document that the individual would carry around. But, I'd like to track down the application as it seems like it'll contain a good deal of information. Our ancestor registered in Brooklyn, NY. So far, i've only found sources for a few states at the National Archives -- mostly the midwest.

Anyone know if the NY applications are available or where to find them?

I sent a request to "Ask a Genealogist" at the New England Historic Genealogical Society" at http://www.americanancestors.org/form.aspx?ekfrm=22447 I'm hoping that someone there will reply to my post/question. If they do, I'll post it here.

Thank you! I'd very much appreciate that! I also wrote to the National Archives in New York -- we'll see what they have to say :)
