i am looking for a william ford, no known dob/county, born in wv.
enlisted in 1917 in new recruitment program for chaplains.
was sent to china. i believe he was in his twenties.
made the military his career.
want his parents, place of birth, death, family, etc.
i have searched the registration cards. the ford family trees. everything military related to WW1, i can't find him. please help me here. i do not know what to do next...
lots of william fords, but none says chaplain, nor china.
how do i find the enlistment rooster of the new 1917 chaplain program...?
he could have been a roberts, blankenship, workman, mullins,if his parents had died he would have lived with relatives... he enlisted as a ford, along with a cousin/friend tom butler. tom got out of the service and became a policeman in southern ohio. wm stayed in the service as chaplain.
thank you very much. pretty iris garden at yahoo dot com
