I ordered pension records for Robert Aldridge from the National Archives. Robert served in Walls 8th VA militia as a Serg. for the War of 1812. After over two months I received word that they could not find his records. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I can do next? It is believed he lived in Montgomery Co. VA or was in Floyd Co. KY when he died. It is also believed that his parents were James and Rachel (Treadway) Aldridge, and his wife was Nancy _____. They had children James, Stephen, Robert, Mount Calvary and perhaps others.
