He served in the Pacific in WWII==PUC- Presidential Unit Citation==NUC- Navy Unit Citation==
Philippine Liberation ==Japan Occupation with 3 stars?? [not sure on this one]==Korea [could have been there after the war, not sure]

Surnames:
Just do an internet search of those names and find all sorts of information. These were issued to all Military personnel, some even today.
