Foster
I have identified an ancestor, Francis Foster, who enlisted in Buffalo, NY and saw service in Florida 1839-1841 where he was discharged at Tampa Bay. In the remarks area following his discharge information is the following: "P.O. June 21st/51". Anyone know what this phrase means? Thanks in advance.
