Thanks, I have only read one. Now I need to see the book. I cam imagine the Sharpshooters in the middle, even more than written. By exploiting the seam that occurred in front of the regiment they must have allowed both the Alabama reserve and parts of the two adjacent regiments to go toward Roasecarn's Headquarters. Had they over ran that, maybe nither the arrival of the two Union Divisions nor the needed reinforcement of the incursion would have mattered. Maybe we would not have the mess we have today.
