E.S. Foster is listed as a Pvt. in Co. F of Cocke's Regiment, Ark. Inf., during 1862 through Aug. 1863.
I'm hoping to find more information on him, first name, home town/county, alive or dead at end of war?

Also, many soldiers listed as AWOL between July and August 1863. What happened and did the regiment continue after that time?

I think E.S. Foster may be my gg-grandfather. Thanks. MCG
