I am looking to see if John W. CLINE was a soldier in the ACW from OR. There is some indication that the family came to Oregon in 1844. According to census records he was born in about 1837 in IA. According to his son's death certificate his wife was Mary Lousignont who was born in Oregon (according to census records). John and Mary's oldest child was born in 1869, so I have reason to believe that John might have served from Oregon in the Civil War, and therefore didn't marry until he was older (32 if the census records are correct). Most of the records I have found for John are in northern Oregon - Columbia, Clatsop, Washington, Clackamas Cos.
