James G. Day was born in 1815, the son of Capt. John Day ( of Manchester, MA. ) and Rebecca George ( of Dunbarton, N.H. ), who married in Weare, N.H. in 1800. Capt. John Day had fought in the Revolutionary War from Mass. James G. Day, his son, died on Dec. 5, 1865. He had been a soldier in the 14th N.H. Vols. Does anyone have any information concerning the military connection of these two men? Any help would be very much appreciated.
