In searching a relative in the Civil War, I found that Captain David H.Todd was leading Company A of the 22nd Louisiana Infantry at Vicksburg. This was at the Marine Hospital Battery May-June 1862. He was later wounded at the siege of Vicksburg in 1863. This is from the noted author Arthur Bergeron Jr and his article in the Louisiana History.
