WWII Pensions?

WWII Pensions?

Hello,

I'm aware of the genealogical information available in applications for Civil War service pensions, including/especially applications made by widows... Does anyone know if there are similar records available for WWII (like a "World War II widow's pension application")?

Thank you!

There are not the same "pensions" available to WWII Veterans with the establishment of the Veteran's Administration, medical and the G.I. Benifits made available after the thier discharge. They can get VA disability payments if wounded and left with chronic conditions. Also WWII records are too "young" to be made available to anyone other than the Veteran, Widow or thier next of kin as defined by the VA after death.
