Help Identifying Korean War Veteran Medal/Badge

We are trying to identify a medal/badge that my grandfather had on the uniform he was buried in when he passed away recently. The badge/pin/medal in question is the solid brass/bronze looking bar on the bottom. I have contacted the army awards department and they said it is not one that is listed in their database. I have spent hours researching it only and have been unable to find anything even close to it. If you don't know exactly what it is for but would know what symbols are represented on it then maybe I could have a better term to use in my search for those symbols. Any help would be appreciated. My grandfather served in the army in Korean from june 1953 to oct 1954. His DD-214 listed his main unit as HQ Co 3d Med BN 3d INF div. I know he was one that provided both air and land transport for those injured. He was part of the MotorPool. I know his division was stationed with the Eighth Army for a while. Below are a few keywords about places he was stationed or had guard duty at...
Cease-Fire
Camp Stoneman
Camp Pickett
DMZ
Chor-wan
Outpost harry
Kumwha
Seoul

Thank you so much for giving me a name for the symbols on the badge. I really appreciate it. :)
