Help needed to identify regiment

Surnames: Taylor
Two Photos attached show my gt uncle Donald Taylor born 1 Dec 1892 Glasgow in uniform believed to have been taken 1915. They are annotated with RA (presumably Royal Artillery) but I'm not convinced. The back are postcards and show Hastings as the photography studio. I have taken them to WDYTYA shows and consulted military experts but not been able to be specific as the cap badge in both photos is indistinct. I am also unable to find any military records for him or a death. Anecdotally from my grandfather he "died of illness after the last war" (believed to be WW1). I wondered if anyone might have similar photos taken that might at least identify the location. Any advice greatly rec'd

Doesn't look like an RA badge. I'd say it was a Yeomanry regiment.

Difficult to tell exact shape/size of cap badge, but something like the Dorset Yeo., or the City of London Yeo. look possibles.....

Do a web search on; "yeomanry ww1 badge" and see what else looks likely.

Also, try here on Donald's name & "yeomanry" in the Mil. section
