Hi Robin
My Foxwell line also originates from Croscombe, Somerset. My G grandfather was Henry John Foxwell b. 1894 Croscombe, his father Francis (Frank) b 1866 Emborough. There are two Frank Foxwell's, both in Emborough, both the same age, but mine married Lucy Louisa Colston/Holden.
Do any of these names appear in your tree?
Tammy

Thank for you for your kind offer to do this. One of my ancestors was:
Corporal Joseph RUDGE who I was told was in Capt Kelly's Company of the 51st (2nd York West Riding) Light Infantry Regiment. Joseph may have been ill before Waterloo but was wounded at Waterloo. He was a 'career' soldier. I believe he was in the army for about 9 years.
Someone said he had received a pension through the Chelsea Pensioners organisation in 1819, but I don't know if he did. He was born around 1783, he died in 1853 in Cumnor Berkshire. His wife was Sarah Neal(e), they may have married 1808, but his name was spelt Ridge. I would be very grateful if you would look in the pay records, discharge records and medical records. Any information would be appreciated. My email address is janetgeo@googlemail.com. Thank you

Hi Mike,
Looking for Thomas Williams was wounded at Waterloo but died later on returning home to Ruthin Denbighshire. Possible Private in the 23rd Foot. Also looking for his wife Esther [Hesther], there may have been children born in Spain/France as well. Also looking for William Roberts Peninsula / Waterloo wars he came back and married Esther Williams in Ruthin Denbighshire in 1817. Both could be of the 23rd Foot or another Welsh regiment.
