This man was with the 81st of Foot of the British Forces who sailed in 1822 from Cork, Ireland to Halifax Nova Scotia arriving there on 4 July 1822 and then going on to Fredericton, New Brunswick in July 1826 and was discharged in Fredericton 7 August 1827. Is there anyone out there who has access to any information or any knowledge regarding anything to do with these sailings or time spent in these ports by the 81st of Foot or their crew or passengers?

The transports which carried the regiment from Ireland to Canada were administered by the British Admiralty Board of Transport Service, and you "might" find Board of Transport records relating to Canada in the Canadian national Archives.

The transports sailed from the port of Cove ( Gaelic name = Cobh...later called Queenstown ), in County Cork, when they arrived in Halifax the regiment was originally quartered in the South Barracks in Halifax. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Artillery_Park_(Halifax)
