I am looking for any WW1 records for a Henry Edward Smith from Birmingham.

I have no prior knowledge that he was in the army, but as far as I am aware he would have been called up as he was born in 1878 (Smethwick, Birmingham) and would have been in his 30s during the war.

Henry was married to Emma and had 3 children by 1912. The main family home was 60 Pershore Street, Birmingham.

If any one comes across some records or information on Henry please let me know. He appears back at pershore Street in 1918 when he takes over the business (sausage skin manufacturers- coincidently his wife's family were German.)
