There was or is an "East Campus Cemetery's" opened in 1877 when they closed the "West Campus Cemetery" according to the History of St. Elizabeth's online history.

The Washington Post Newspaper listed deaths at St. E's. Try an historical newspaper website.

The NARA has thier records but they are not scanned and online, just do a search of the NARA website for a list of what they have.

He filed for a pension Oct 19, 1914, the NARA may have a record of when it stopped. SpAm war pension cards included in U.S. Civil War Pension Index.
