Recently found 4 graves in Uruguay of US Navy sailors.
Names: Patrick Noonan 1852-1892), Olaf Johnson (1866-1890), John Worth (1859-1890) and William Anderson (1848-1887)
Copied info from headstones and photographed those headstones.
Names of naval vessels mentioned on each inscription. Are you a relative?

The Spanish American War was April to August 1898.

The Death Dates are closer to the "Chilean crisis of 1891-1892". These websites might be of interest:
