I don't think he had time to apply for any type of pension. The war ended in 1848 and he died, supposedly, in 1851, probably before any pensions were authorized. He was not married so there would not have been a widow's pension either at a later date. I have not looked into bounty land records yet but, unless his parents requested it, I also doubt that he had time to do that. I have not been able to locate a military service record.
