Hi,

Dear Elenas, I am the grand son of Serapio Aguirre who, according to your list should be in the picture that you have kindly offered.

I would be most grateful if you could let me have a copy of this file.

Hello Elena,

I am writing a monograph about the only postage stamps ever printed in Denver, Colo., and Salvador Cataño made a "secret mission" on behalf of the Constitutionalists to place the order with Smith-Brooks Printing Company in March of 1914. The visit was noted by the Rocky Mountain News in an article on March 10, 1914.

O.L. Smith (founder of Smith-Brooks) son-in-law, Dr. Louis Hough, was a surgeon for the Mexican National Railway and made friends with Cataño. It was apparently through that connection that the order was placed.

The picture you have of Cataño with Carranza and the others provides proof that he was close to the the inner circle of the revolutionaries. It would provide an excellent element for the monograph.

I would appreciate it if you would consider sending me a copy.

Regards,

Ron Mitchell
Lakewood, Colo.

Elena, I would also love a copy of the photo if it is still possible. I am unsure if any of my cousins who I see posts from have shared it with everyone. I am one of Ignacio's great great grandchildren.

Re: Picture of Cabinet During Revolution & Villarreal Surname

Surnames: Villarreal
There are a lot of people with the villarreal surname in Southern Texas and North-Eastern Mexico. Some older relatives tell me that villarreal, my mother's maiden name, comes from a line of sepharadite jews, but I have no direct link to substanciate this. For over 250 years my family has been living in the mexican state of nuevo leon, which borders with texas. There is a city in Southern Spain has the Villarreal name. There is even a Soccer team in Spain with that name. For information beyond the early 1900's you might have to check church records, for the Civil Registry was established in 1872 by President Juárez. No Bernardinos in my family tree, though

My father was born in Cuatro Cienigas, Coahuila. His Mother was Tomasa Ramos Campos and Father Antonio Fuentes. My father Ysabel was raised in Eagle Pass, Texas from the age of 7 yrs old. My family ancestry is a long process, it's too bad the older family members didn't like to talk about the past. I remember my Dad saying that his Great~Great Grandfather was stolen by Indians and then thrown out at 15 because he was so mean. Don't know how to find proof on that? Good Luck in your ancestry, I would like a picture if possible, I would appreciate it.
