Surnames: King
My grandfather Joseph King was stranded in Murmansk mid 1930s when his ship sank at the wharf. The crew were held for some time in a camp and then were put in a cattle truck to Lipetsk where they spent more time before being sent on to Sevastopol where they shipped back to England. They were treated as traitors and only 9 of the original crew returned . The bodies of those who died were thrown on guards orders into gullies as the train went over them. I would be very grateful for any info to verify this incident.

Do you have a ship's name? And any idea why a non-Russian crewman would be treated as a traitor?
