i am looking for information on the Zebulon B. Vance during WWII. Specifically during the period in 1945-47 when it did duty as a Liberty Ship transporting War Brides from Great Britain to the U.S.
I am trying to find information on Louis B. Smith, who was a boatswain on the ship. He may have been a career Merchant Marine as he appears on some crew lists of other vessels in later years. He may also have attended a MM school before entering the service.
if anyone may have any information or have been a shipmate, i would appreciate hearing from you.
Thanks, Linda
