It shows the names, their rank, the places where they were made prisoners of war, their wounds, their relatives and the city where the POW-camp was.

I can help you. No fee unless we have to use the postal mailing service rather than email. email is dwats@cox.net. You can send your info as attachments. If that doesn't work, you can send them to my postal address. I'll provide that as soon as you let me know.

Don, I notice you are also having difficulties viewing attachments from Ancestry. On image, right mouse click and “save as” to your desktop.

For a free and simple photo-package download Irfanview.

So true Don, I was referring to your recent posts on threads where images were either attached or linked to them and you appeared to having problems viewing them.

Images related to this thread are linked in the original message and are at http://boards.ancestry.co.uk/topics.Military.wwi.general/419...

The other thread where you specifically mentioned the attached image a being, “not responsive” was at http://boards.ancestry.com/topics.Military.german/504/mb.ash...

I was just trying to help.

Thanks again, Jeff. When I right click I get "webpage not available." When I copy the link address and click on the URL, I get the same message. I've turned off all my blockers, didn't help. I've reviewed my settings in Chrome. Very frustrating.

Don,

You can’t copy & paste the URLs from Ancestry pages as they are truncated within the message, but you should be able to left click on the URL and be taken to the page without any problems; if it doesn’t work it must be some glitch at your end, you could try a different browser as a test.

So another way to get to the same pages as the URLs

For the ID Card > Message Boards > Topics > Military > German Military > “Looking for German Soldier's family” by carolweellis (yours is the only reply to her); R click on image and Save as.

For POW records > Message Boards > Topics > Military > World War 1 > General > “Can someone explain these POW records” by rdkmt; R click on each image and Save as.
