I have documents pertaining to a Otto Buch, born March 3rd 1876 that my Husband got from his father that fought in WW1, It looks like his identification book with personal information, Ration book and other papers all written in old German script.
I doubt if I'll get anywhere with this scant information. Where he was born is listed but due to it being written and not printed I cant make it out, Why my Husbands father had these documents he cant say, it was just passed on to him.
My e-mail is (cynthiachapin@hotmail.com)

If these booklets are what I think they are, then they should contain information about his movements throughout the war, as well as references to any injuries he sustained and equipment that he as issued. For most German WW1 soldiers even this information no longer exists.
