I am in possession of my wife's gg grandfather's original Prussian Militair-Pass, Josef Patzky b. 7 Jun 1840-Wittstcock, Conitz. He served on active duty and reserves with II Army Corps, Neumärkirchen Dragoner Regiment No. 3. He fought in all 3 major battles of the Austro-Prussian War and was called up from the reserves to fight in the Franco-Prussian War. On page 7, it shows his awards as M.E. followed by a stylized H. I have no idea what this is. The second award is the Iron Cross - listed as E.K. 66. followed by a stylized K. I assume from the 66 it was awarded in the A-P War. Below in sloppy writing is H.F.M. 1870/71 C. Also interested in her other gg grandfather, Heinrich Seestedt (Seestädt) who was killed in the battle of Gravelotte in the F-P War. Thank you.
