Hi Andy,

I was curious if you could check on your list for my 3rd-great-grandfather. I have a picture of him from sometime around 1910 and he is wearing his medals from the war.. the Iron Cross is first and obvious and it looks like there are three other medals.

His name is Gustav Marten.

Can I ask where you got a list of all those who received the Iron Cross during the Franco-Prussian war?
