St. Michael's Hospital Camp, Malta

Surnames: Poole, Sharp, Phillips, Oliver, Cranham, Ovenbeck
A friend was recently given a hand written notebook, bought in a second hand bookshop in Sydney, Australia and titled 'Melleha: Malta. St. Michael's Hospital Camp, B Section. Orderly Room Staff.
The notebook contains some written pages, and many drawings, some of which are cartoons. Names mentioned are Poole, Sharp, Phillips, Oliver. Cranham and 'Ovenbeck'?
Does anyone have information on these military men serving in Malta?

They will probably be able to help you at this website that deals with the military hospitals on Malta. Considering it's a hospital camp, it's most likely a temporary establishment from either the 1st or 2nd World War. Here's the link to drop them a line-

Thanks so much for the link, which I've sent on to my friend. Searching through the site I see there was a camp called Mellieha camp on Malta from 20 Nov 1915 – 5 Sept 1917,
which is probably the same place as 'Melleha' camp on the notebook.

Linda
