Trying to locate rosters of those who served from Dutchess County, New York, Beekman Patent. I have been told that a Jeremiah (George or Jurgen) Abel and his brother David Abel served in the French and Indian War from Beekman Patent. Is there a source to write to in New York state that has records of those that served? Likewise, if pensions were granted, who funded the pensions and is their a source of those who were granted pensions? Thanks, John Bowen

John have you tried the Army's History Center at Carlisle Barracks? They have several manuscripts with militia rosters in them.
