Little Colonial-era military material is available on the internet. What there is depends greatly on:

Where folks lived
When and where they served

If you post a detailed question about each one in a message board for the right residence (e.g., UK, US?) and time period (This board is about French and Indian War, 1755-1763), perhaps someone can help you with book resources.

Or you could post queries on the relevant surname message boards, or on boards for the locality in which each resided.
