Greetings,
I found the lake and falls and visited in October 2001. I am not exaggerating when I say that the place rivals Cloudland Canyon State Park. The falls are prettier than the state park waterfalls and the gorge is almost as spectacular. This place is a gem!
The land is held by the Lula Lake Land Trust and is open to the public on the last Saturday of every month plus some other locations. The entrance is not marked except when it is open. It is a gravel road off Highway 157 perhaps 10 miles south of the Tennessee line.
The newpaper reported this week that the State has acquired additional acreage between Lula Lake and Cloudland Canyon creating a link between the two places. Rumor is that one day the state park may include Lula Lake.
