I am looking for people who would like to donate copies of their Civil War ancestor's letters and diaries for research purposes. Many of the larger archives and libraries will not accept photocopies or transcripts. They want the originals, and for that reason many individuals have balked at making donations of their Civil War ancestor's manuscripts. During my recent research on the Civil War in Georgia I have found a number of smaller
institutions that would be thrilled to have copies of such materials. It does not matter what state your ancestor was from. If you have any such materials and would like to share them with historians please contact me.
