I am in the process of getting a Pension Application. You have to write or e-mail your request to the State Archives that the solider served in. The NARA does not maintain Pension Applications only Service records. If the person in question served in SC then you can visit the SC ARcives website and e-mail a look up request for Pension App. they will send a confirmation and then they will send you a list of what they found and how much it will cost. You then send them money or credit card info and they will send you copies of whatever you requested. Hope this helps! Lisa
