Death of Spencer and Eunice Horne Alden
winslow150 added this on 9 May 2013
Spencer and Eunice moved to Iowa shortly after the birth of their son Spencer Benjamin. They died either on the way, or in 1825-29 in Iowa. Their son was raised as an orphan, we think with relatives in Iowa, CT or NYS. Nellie Alden Barnard spent her lifetime searching for information on her Father's relatives and never found the connection. In the III volume of the Alden Memorial, it lists their son Spencer born in 1823. It states they died in Iowa in 1826 I believe. I would like confirmation on this and assistance in confirming Spencer Benjamin Sr's parentage and birth date. Also looking on Spencer B. Jr's military record with Charles Flint, who were confined to a Southern Prison during their service in the Civil War. Any info will be appreciated. winslow150@yahoo.com
