There is a Find a grave page that list M.L.Higgins. I believe this to be Marcus Lafayette Higgins (also noted as D' Lafeyette ) who served in the Confederate Army.

M. L. Higgins enlisted at the age of 18, as a Private in Company "A" of Captain Joseph P. Weir's Company, Parson's Regiment Texas Regiment*.
Joined for duty and enrolled by Captain J.P. Weir on October 29,1861, near Hempstead for 1 year service. Last noted on roll ending December 31,1863. No further record.
*This company subsequently became Company "A", 12th Regiment Texas Cavalry.
Is M.L. Higgins and Marcus Lafayette Higgins one in the same. and does any one have additional info on him.
The request for a marker from the government states buried M. L. is buried at Municipal Cemetery, find a grave list Woodbury Cemetery, Hill County, Texas, USA. Is Woodbury a name change for what was called Municipal.
