I am seeking information on the 31st Virginia Infantry but cannot find records from the 31st in the Official Record of the War of the Rebellion. Could I looking in the wrong part of the many volumes? I thought that was the complete record and that all units were represented in it. Also the Virginia Regimental History of the 31st by John Ashcroft is out of print and so far I've had no luck in getting a copy through inter-library loan. My questions:
1. Are there records from the Virginia 31st in the OR? If so, can you direct me to volume and page?
2. Are there other books or websites that someone can recommend that would help me to learn about the movements of the 31st during the war?
