This tintype was among my Grandmother's things; I believe it may be Ira Barney, a musician in the 152 NY Vol Inf during the Civil War. Can anyone confirm this or provide further insight? I have not found a match yet, but at least one other musician's jacket included similar braiding on the chest and sleeves.
