I am looking for information on my Great Grandfater, Archibald Everett Critchley who was with the Corps of Royal Canadian Engineers in WWII. I have some basic information but am trying to put together a full perspective on him and the rest of my family. If anyone has any information regarding him and his service (also history of the corps in Italy), I would really appreciate it.

I am a Retired RCE (34 years) who helps fellow Canadians search their family military history (free).
Stella has already given you some excellent advice to get you started.
I have copies of the Engineer History and an excellent two Volume set of Canadian WWII History.
When serving in Germany, I toured the cemeteries and battlefields of Italy.
