WWI POW records are now online

On August 4th, the International Red Cross posted their WWI POW records online. You can find their site at this link:

http://grandeguerre.icrc.org/en/File/Search

You can search by surname and then indicate the nationality of the individual followed by indicating which country in which they were held as a POW. The records are extensive but I was unable to find some of my relatives who I knew were POWs. If any of you find one of your relatives, I would appreciate it if you would contact me with that information.

Hi Carl,
I checked my relatives (having POW record in Vienna or listed in the casualty reports), could not find any of them in this database.

I had the same problem László with my relatives who were POWs. I did not find their records in the Red Cross database.
