Steve,
You have not provided much information about Frencz Magyar such as where he was born etc.
But assuming he was a Hungarian soldier in WWI, you are probably not going to be able to find his personnel records if he was an enlisted man. Personnel records for Hungarian soldiers were destroyed. Do you know if he was wounded or if he was an officer? There may be records of that.

Zemplen Megye (Zemplen County) was part of Hungary back when Frencz lived there. It is now in Slovakia on the far eastern side of the country. If Frencz was in the infantry in the AH army, he would have been in infantry regiment #66. I am unable to find any village with a name that sounds like "villi cumon" in Zemplen county. I am also unable to find a baptism record for a Frencz Magyar who would have been born between 1884 and 1888. And finally, I can't find his immigration records. Did he come to the United States? Do you know the year in which he immigrated? Where did he reside when he came and did he live in other places? What was his wife's name. Do you know the names of his parents?
Black Rock translated into Slovak and into Hungarian does not resemble "villi cumon" so you have a lot of mysteries! Here is a link to a website that will explain what AH army records are available. http://ahmilitary.blogspot.com

Steve,
I've tracked down the baptism of the children of Ferenc Magyar and Julianna Markovics. Note that the letters "cs" in Hungarian are pronounced like the English "ch". Anyway they were from Kralovsky Chlumec, which was in Zemplen County. Send me an email and I will send you copies of the information. My email address is ahmilitary@gmail.com

Carl,
you are right, the original personal records (Grundbuchblatter) were destroyed.
But the Vienna Archive has still a lot of loss records for soldiers of pre-WWI Hungary. The Hungarian Military Archive has a branch in the Vienna M. Archive, I could get data from them a few times.
