I was thinking that when the Polish used the letter "C" instead of "S" they usually that meant that it was the "TS" sound. This letter of the alphabet does not exist anywhere except in Ukrainian Cyrillic. It looks like this "Ц"====This is sometimes confusing when searching for the surname in Ukraine....to see where they were sent during the deportations in 1946. As for the surname Rejent etc. it is interesting but because your grandparents were married already before going to the USA, it is only likely that the Regent they were in the village or close by Kulaszne. So the others are ruled out. I did search for the surname to see if possible village close by and only found the Slovak village Medzillaborce which is very very close.but of course this not based on fact.... I hope you will consider joining the Facebook group :Kulaszne Podkarpackie Poland ===Here is a copy that the man sent ,it has Regent surname on the bottom of the original church record.
