Thanks for your reply. Sadly, I don't think I will be able to find much. I will keep digging around. I would also be interested in researching any Sawicz ancestors who may have been part of the military prior to WWI. I have traced my SAWICZ ancestors back to 1775 and have various names etc in the family tree. Do you know if records exist prior to WWI that are on-line or elsewhere to look?
