My gradfather was born in 1892. He came to the US in 1910, when he was 18. Stories have been told that he was in the Polish Army. No one knows anything else. He was born in Bledowa and his family lists Zglobien on their immigration papers. Would he have been conscripted at 16 years of age? Would he have lied about his age to be voluntarily conscripted? I am guessing that he would have served from 1908 to 1910. I don't have any info as to what regiment he would have served in. Can anyone give me some advice on my search? Thank you.
