The Pennsylvania State Archives has put on the internet copies from a card file regarding Rev. War items, including data from militia rosters.

Read the intro, scroll to bottom to link to on-line listings. Then scroll down to the Rev. War. section and clink to get to the alphabetical card listings. The cards give the sources of their items.

There are two entries that could be for your man or for someone else, and perhaps are what the DAR chapter referenced. Try alternate spellings as well.

You can also use the NSDAR web site to contact the DAR chapter and use the email contact information to ask them what was meant and if they have any further information.
