Am seeking help with the family tree of Joseph Holmes, he was with the Prince of Wale American Volunteers- Hoyt's Co.He was discharged on February 1 1783 and shortly after went to Shelburne, Nova Scotia, Canada. He had at least 2 children - a boy and girl. I would greatly appreciate any information someone might be able to share.

In researching in a book entitled New Jersey Marriages 1665-1800, under Marriage Licenses of Females on page 13, I found a listing of: Andrews, Phebe, and Joseph Holmes, Jr., Monmouth, 1758 Nov. 4. The time frame looks about right for your Joseph to have married. I didn't get very far in the book to find any other information on Joseph. Good luck with your research.

Thanks, I've seen that one but if I remember correctly I could trace them but not to us.
