I am searching for Benjamin Robertson b 7-12-1756 m Sara Allen. According to the DAR index , he was listed as ENS NC. I found a Benjamin Roberson in old Dobbs County, NC tax list, but I'm not sure that this is the correct person. He was my ggggggrandfather. According to Fayette County, KY muster rolls, he received a pension in 1835, but that is all I have that is certain. I have all his childrens' names and how I am decended from him. If any one has any information on him or his spouse, I would be more than happy to share all I have.

Benjamin Robison was in Rowan Co NC before the Rev War and seems to have supported the rebels. In 1765 he married Eals (Alice) Locke (widow of John Locke who was a brother of Matthew). She was a daughter of Alexander Cathay. The Cathy family and others including the Robisons were in the Irish Settlement near Salisbury, NC. Benjamin had a brother . William, there as well. Moses Robison was in the militia by age 15 He was a son of Benjamin. Moses married Mary
, daughter of William--His first cousin. Moses moved to what became Sullivan Co TN in 1794 to his land grant on Horse Creek. After TN became a state he sold this land and moved to Maury Co TN for a time trying to locate his father's 1000 acre land grant on "the western waters". He
eventually located in Madison County TN. Moses had three sons. They were William, Benjamin and Moses T. I joined SAR and First Families in Tennessee on Moses Robison
I assume but have not proved that his father was a patriot of some import since he had such a big land grant, but there are so many Benjamins and William in NC that I have not been able to separate them. I would welcome any additional information on this Family
